Two bros building cool stuff

Pictured above is my brother, David, on the right, and myself, Jeremy, through the mirror on the left. We were working on putting his new server together. As you can see, we work great together.

I'm the founder and designer at CRFT (pronounced "craft"), and a developer alongside my brother. Our goal has no fluff; make the most beautiful, performant and maintainable websites for the best marketing teams. The name CRFT represents our ideal—we continually strive to maintain our excellence as craftsmen.

My first experience with web design was many years ago in high school, when I ran a small print-on-demand eCommerce store. I came to realize shortly thereafter that I enjoyed designing websites, and later developing them with increasingly powerful tools.

CRFT is mostly a team of one, but occasionally two, with David jumping in with additional development support as-needed. We're both based out of 🇨🇦 Toronto, Canada.

Design (mostly) in code

We start projects by concepting designs in Figma/Sketch. Once the picture is 80% clear, we turn the design into real, working code, and continue iterating from there. Pixel perfection should only exist where your visitors are - time is better spent that way.

Simple designs convert best

Scrolljacking, elaborate animations and the like are often (unconsciously) done to earn the admiration of other designers and developers, but a website's primary function is to sell. While these aren't always mutually exclusive, we don't lose sight of our goal.

Craftsmanship

When the sites we make reach the bar for beauty, performance and ease of maintenance, we feel deserving calling ourselves craftsmen.
